Do the Right thing is a story about racial issues in a Brooklyn neighbourhood bubbling over on the hottest day of the year. Throughout the film Spike Lee asks us to empathise with each of the racially diverse characters. Lee uses point of view film-making in order to get us closer to the action and actually experience what it feels like to be confronted by anger and racial prejudice. See this clip. If you want the viewer to feel dropped in on the action and to feel confrontation much more directly, then VR could be your medium.
